South Tyne Jamboree 2011
held at The Haydonian Club, Haydon Bridge on 17 th May 2011.
Thanks to David Tulip for hosting this event and organising the usual huge feast of excellent food.
I assume he will be living on the leftovers for at least a week.
Thanks too to the 28 players who made up the seven teams and ensured a competitive and very enjoyable night to finish off the season.
Apologies to Mark Taylor who ended up with 5 minutes on his clock for the first game and then found himself twice with the black pieces.
Sorry Mark, it wasn't intentional!
Congratulations to the Monarchs on adding the jamboree trophy to the league trophy they have just won for the third time.
I feel that Derek Blair may well be approached regarding the vacant position at West Ham.
Goodbye and good luck to Mike Nicholson as he goes off to live in Shropshire and goodbye from me as I depart in search of the black stuff.
