Kd1 Nxg5 Adjourned position. had it not been for the crash then this would not have been adjourned and certainly both players would have wanted to play on as there is much potential for an error on either side. As it happens it transpired that both myself and Ernie, who I shared the title with, had seen the dangers and it would have been a draw. 42... Nxg5 One sample line of how the draw arises is 43. c5 Bf8 44. Qxg3 hxg3 45. c6 Bd6 46. Ba5 Ne6 47. Bh3 f5 The white queen side pawns are held by the black pieces and the black king side pawns by the white king and bishop. Neither side can fully attack as the need to defend is strong. 1/2-1/2 [ W.]
